Crews cut the man out of the vehicle before he was taken to hospital.

A 78-YEAR-old Male and his 13-year-old granddaughter have been injured after their vehicle collided with a tractor on Winter Rd, Timmering.

The Land Rover, which was travelling east hit a roller which a tractor, travelling west, was towing.

The impact caused the car to roll.

Winter Rd was closed for more than an hour as emergency services worked to free the man who was trapped.

Both have been taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Campaspe Highway Patrol Leading Senior Constable Paul McCracken said there was no clear cause of the accident.

"Investigations are continuing into whether or not the tractor was displaying the appropriate signage," he said.

"Its just one of those things - residents have to be careful of slow moving agricultural machinery on the roads and make sure they slow down and give them a wide berth."
