RESIDENTS can have their say on how they’d like to receive council information — while having the chance to win a delicious local produce hamper — by completing a communications survey.
With council offering more than 100 different services to 37,000 plus residents across the Shire of Campaspe, the effective communication of council information is key.
“Many council services, projects and plans are well known but there are also many that are less known, which can result in the community feeling uninformed,’’ Campaspe Shire CEO Jason Russell said.
‘‘The information gathered from the survey will go a long way to ensuring the wider community is kept informed of council decisions, services and programs.’’
Following on from the Campaspe Conversation Day — an opportunity for the community to have their say on all things council — it was found the community wished to receive council information in local newspapers and via printed newsletters delivered to homes.
The communications survey will take this a step further.
“(It) is a way to further connect with residents and understand the type of information the community deems important and the preferred method of receiving this information,” Mr Russell said.
“Improved communication methods is the cornerstone to building stronger community relationships based on trust and mutual appreciation.’’
The survey is now open and can be accessed via council’s website: www.campaspe.vic.gov.au
Additional copies of the survey are available from customer contact centres.
The survey closes on Friday, October 27.
