Seniors notes

by
October 12, 2016

Cards last week were won by Jean McGrath and Bess Wood.

After  all the rain and cold weather, we are told to look forward to a bit of sun and temperatures in the 20s.

Postage has brought along the election papers for our vote for our local councillors.

We note too that the main street has been closed off to allow the renovating of the roundabout. We can only hope that the inconvenience is worth it.

Cards last week were won by Jean McGrath and Bess Wood. Bowls winners were Don Drayton, Moll sparks, Dave Coram and Cheryl Trevaskis.

The winners on the men’s cards were John Bauerle and Warren Langley.

The fashion morning takes place tomorrow at 10.30am with lucky door prize and $3 entry with morning tea and trading table.

Tickets are available for the birthday on October 21 beginning at 12.30pm. A mystery trip takes place on November 23.

Pokies trips take place on the first Wednesday of each month. Bingo takes place each Thursday afternoon and Monday Bingo is to begin again on November 7.

Get well wishes to any members in hospital or housebound. The members wish to extend sincere sympathy to Neil Espagne and his family in the loss of his daughter Marie Simm.

We welcome new members and visitors to the club and there are many choices of activities to participate in.
