The life of well known Cooma man Ted Hall will be remembered with an afternoon tea on Sunday.
Ted Hall, who would have celebrated his 70th birthday on Sunday, died aged 43 following an asthma attack.
Mr Hall, who worked as a farmer, was a member of numerous community groups, including Young Farmers, Cooma Fire Brigade and Cooma and Girgarre Tennis Club.
He attended Kyabram primary and high schools.
Mr Hall’s life had been characterised by problems with asthma and eczema, however sister Jean Fahy said he was involved in the community and was willing to lend a hand despite his health struggles.
‘‘The asthma and eczema was always there but his life went on,’’she said.
‘‘If he could help out with something he would.’’
Mrs Fahy said an afternoon tea at her late mother’s house on the corner of Craddock Rd and Kyabram-Cooma Rd, Cooma, was an opportunity to honour his life and she encouraged anyone who had been connected to Mr Hall throughout his life to come along.
‘‘We would like to acknowledge Ted and speak with others who remember him,’’ she said.
‘‘We’d really like to see all of Ted’s friends and neighbours come along to this event.’’
